Been exhausted and super ADD all day, but trucking right along. Concentration is a power struggle and fleeting, if you ask me. And like always, so much to do... so little time. But it's life and this will all be over in 2 weeks.

So here I am, procrastinating even more, even updated my bio on this thing, which hasn't been touched for quite some time now. My new livej bio:

if nothing else, i write because heck, my ass is gon' get old, gray, and forgetful. i'd like to able to look back on those years of divulging my life away on stupid useless junk, procrastination, never ending rants, my love-hate relationship with nostalgia, life lessons, heartbreaks, retail therapy excursions, pop-culture shit, seeing the glass half empty (but frontin' like i see it half full) and weaving lyrics and rhythm into my everyday existence. and well, pretty much lookin' back on those days when i had nothing else in me but to be damn naive.

eh, whatever floats this boat.

It's been lonely in the city for several reasons, and really, 99.9% of my life consists of work, class, and going out if I absolutely have the energy to. It's to a point I've actually contemplated moving back home... buuuut, it really is on the absolute bottom of the list (just making the point that I've actually thrown the idea out there as of late). For some odd reason I'd much rather be stressed out with trying to pay my rent than deal with the repercussions of moving back. Not that it'll be insane or anything, just difficult.

Been all haywired for the past few weeks. I finally got my sushi fix today with Brenda and Sway - collected conversations, but also fun girl time. These talks and me actually inching away from the premises of my apartment, the office, and the classroom (and actually having a decent conversation, dear god) made me realize I'm not the only one all strung out on relationships, life, the future... yada yada yada. And really, even the g'damn present.

In need of inspiration. Or something of the sort.

Felt like a new playlist for the week might just do the trick. At least for now.

As far as good download recs for y'all, I'd still say the new Q-Tip even though it's already been out for a few weeks. I'm rather impressed he produced the entire thing (well obviously minus the one done with J Dilla from ages ago), and his track with D'Angelo is kick-ass. But then again, D'Angelo is already kick-ass even all by himself!
